When in cookbook, using the “Invite others” button only shares the app QR code. The invite person icon in the user lineup for that same cookbook does the same thing, meaning we aren’t able to directly invite users.

Instead I had to 1) search users, 2) get them to follow me, 3) make my cookbook public, then 4) have them join that cookbook.

Variations of this update could include the invite person icon that opens up your list of followers, allowing you to share the cookbook directly. The button currently labeled “Invite Others” might instead read “Share app”.

Also, an option to share with a private group as opposed to cookbooks only being joinable on a public level? I’m thinking more for family and friends than on a social influencer level.
